Senior Surveyor (Compliance / M&E)

£42,002 - £45,021 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum

Our council is going through an exciting time of change. We have developed a new corporate business plan and a whole new approach to customer service where our priority is to put the customer first and offer a consistent ‘one team’ approach in everything we do.

Reporting to the Service Manager (Building Services) you will be responsible for maintaining the current high standards being achieved in the management of the council’s commercial portfolio.

Leading a small team of surveyors, you will be tasked with delivering all planned and responsive compliance programmes and major works. It is essential to this role that the successful candidate holds a relevant, recognised qualification and has extensive experience within a property management background.

The successful candidate will be the lead officer for all landlord compliance requirements and will assist the Service Manager (Building Services) in setting the programme of planned works for the portfolio.

The post holder will be required to have strong communication skills, an understanding of work prioritisation and a high level of attention to detail.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
